Since 2019, the Historic Boydton Renaissance has invited some of the greatest artists in Bluegrass music to our beautiful historic town of Boydton, Virginia. Bluegrass legends like Dan Tyminski, Russell Moore, Sammy Shelor and so many more have joined us for the ultimate in Bluegrass in the Historic town of Boydton, VA.

Bluegrass in Boydton is brought to you in partnership by the Historic Boydton Renaissance, The Boydton Volunteer Fire Department, The Town of Boydton, and Mecklenburg County Tourism.

Located right on the Hwy 58 corridor in South-Central Virginia, the town of Boydton serves as the county seat to Mecklenburg. Mecklenburg County is a unique tourist destination, offering two lakes with over 800 miles of shoreline, 17 boat landings, 5 campgrounds, 5 wineries, a brewery, distillery, unique theaters, historic sites and miles of trails.

This annual show falls on the 4th Saturday in June and features some of the top bluegrass musicians from near and far.

Each event features 3 bands, food by the Boydton Volunteer Fire Dept, a beer garden, wine garden, and (when available) a selective number of artisans selling their unique products and wares.

Bring your lawn chairs, but leave your coolers at home. Admission is $10 and tickets are sold at the gate only. Kids 12 and under are free! Gates open at 3pm.
